Welcome to the city of Whitesburg, Georgia 30185!

Whitesburg is a small town of less than 1,000 in southwest Carroll County.  Home to McIntosh Reserve and just a mile from the Chattahoochee River the area has not been much more than a rural gas stop until recently. 

However, Temple-Inland announced their intent in 2005 to convert 11,000 acres of timber land to a planned community of 20,000 homes over the next 30 years.  Neighborhoods on the Douglas / Carroll County border are already springing up and Whitesburg now has a new subdivision under development.

Expect this quiet Georgia town to become a notable residential area by 2015.  Investors looking for long-term commercial and retail opportunities should keep their eyes on Whitesburg and the land north of the town on Highway 5.
